Money talks… but mine just says goodbye!

Money makes the world go round. Hence, there is no option that your students can’t talk about it! Let them read the text about money with vocabulary in context (i.e a saver, a spender, a property, a mortgage) and choose a perfect explanation for your students – either translation or definition. Thanks to ample space in the notes section, they can take notes right next to new words. Right after reading comes vocabulary practice in gapped sentences, followed by confusing pairs of words (e.g. borrow / lend, earning / spending, pay for / pay back). What perfects vocabulary acquisition though is speaking, so at the end you will find two engaging tasks – controversial sentences to discuss and situational role-plays with prompts for the I-have-no-idea students.
