Vocabulary and speaking

Tiresome, ineffective lessons showing the difference between make and do are the past! Teach make and do effectively! Welcome our approach to long lists. First, we divide the phrases: make vs do in categories (i.e make for creating, do for housework) – so that they are easier to associate and remember. Second, the gapped sentence practice – to make your students familiar with the phrases in context. Third, photos to describe – no fixed answers, just sparking imagination while still actively using make vs do in speaking. Fourth, bingo time! To engage your students in creating stories with make and do, all by speaking so that they get used to pronunciation as well. Last but not least, matching definitions – to sum up what they’ve learnt, give them homework or consolidate their knowledge during the following lesson.
