What’s your job like?

A vocabulary-packed lesson with all the positive, negative and neutral adjectives to describe a job (e.g. demanding, rewarding, lucrative). To start, your students will read job adverts with highlighted words. It’s also a perfect reading task for FCE / B2 First – multiple matching style. Their role is to match the job posts to Anna, Beatrice, Charles and Dax, who presented themselves in a short text. After reading, we continue with vocabulary-focused exercises. Matching words from the text to the definitions and using them in sentences. Make sure they understand the meaning perfectly by asking them job-related questions with the adjectives. Finally, writing a job post offer – either as a finisher or optional homework.
