Discussion

Feeling stuck in life? Looking for a perfect job? This brick may help your students talk about career choices.

Students discuss their experience with looking for career advice. They can share experiences regarding their current job, a dream job, job satisfaction. Then students can discuss an online trend called “I wasted my 20s” and watch a video with career advice as part of this trend. Speaking tasks with loads of questions inspire conversation about the difference between a job and a hobby. Then students discuss common career advice and think of their own while practising structures for giving advice in English.

The lesson fits perfectly both for young adults and experienced workers. It can also spark some discussion in English for HR classrooms.
